Kurt&Janna 04.02.2016

My good friend Janna got married on April 2nd to Kurt, who happens to be my cousin.

This made for a very fun wedding to be a part of.

I love to witness all the little things that make a day into someone’s wedding day.

The day started at Janna’s parent’s home.

oja-1

It was a nice and relaxed environment. That’s how Janna rolls.

Bryan&Kelly 04.18.2015

Bryan & Kelly picked the perfect spring weekend to get married.

April had a few 70 degree and sunny days and one happened to land on their day.

You never know what the day will bring but this weather could not be beat!

It was such an honor and fun opportunity to be a part of their wedding day.

Kelly is my first cousin so it felt extra special to have a front row seat to all the details of the day.

Brian&Lynda 01.17.2015

To set the scene it was a crisp, winter day.

A beaming bride stepping into  her dress with her mother by her side.

The warm and elegant interior of Crystal Garden’s Banquet Center held

the murmur and anticipation for the grooms arrival.

I had honor of capturing Brian and Lynda’s mid-winter wedding.

They made my job easy for they were

relaxed and comfortable with each other and their family and friends.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

Here we go…

Calm and collected.

.

.

.

.

.

.

and the fanfare…

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

Oooo can’t decide if I like the color or black and white version better!

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

We headed inside for some pictures within Crystal Gardens.

.

.

.

.

.

We went onto a park up the road for a few pictures. Don’t be fooled by the sunshine, it was cold and windy!!

Justin&Heather 09.20.2014

Justin and Heather’s wedding day was a lot of fun!

For a day that called for scattered severe thunderstorms and there was no electricity in the morning due to a local fire,

this day sure turned out nice.

Heather made for such a happy, relaxed bride,

even despite the few hiccups that each day brings.

I think all future brides can take note from her….she was exactly who she is and seemed to enjoy the whole day to the fullest.

Why have it any other way, I guess.

Aaron&Kylee 07.26.2014

Warm sunshine greeted me as I pulled up to Matt and Carol’s.

As I made my way upstairs where the bride was getting ready, I could hear reminiscing and laughter.

Oh the sweet details each wedding day brings!

All unique in their own way for every special wedding day.

Karl&Brita 07.19.2014

Back in the saddle.

Behind the camera again since my son Russell was born this spring.

How fun to start it off with Karl and Brita’s wedding!

I could feel the excitement as I parked my car outside Brita’s Mom and Dad’s home.

I didn’t even see anyone yet but I could feel it.

Maybe it was because I was back to being part of someone’s special, special day.

I am always honored for this opportunity.

Karl and Brita’s day was a beautiful partly sunny, summer day.

This is a fun one that Karl jokingly suggested.  The guys got into it:)

Joyful Creations

Meet Karissa, creator and seamstress behind Joyful Creations(can be found on facebook).

I called Karissa up for a fun photo shoot with some of her products.

I was itching to take some pictures and I thought it’s be fun to get some of her items out there.

Great custom gift ideas if you ask me!

.

Karissa’s sister Chloe came along to help us out!

Chloe rocks this look!

Both skirts were made by Karissa.

Loved the handmade yellow cape/shall. It photographed well:)

Mid-winter Break

Man, it has been a while.

This happens every time after the photography rush of fall time….I can’t get myself back to blogging.

I barely lift a finger photography wise. I just need a complete BREATHER!

I do sit there with my thoughts and evaluate where I am, where I dream to be.

But I just need the time away.

It’s during this time that I like to read an inspirational quote I have written down on a sheet of paper in my computer room.

“Be not afraid of going slowly, but only of standing still.”

I don’t feel like I come to a stop with photography but love to sit back for a while and recharge my batteries.

This post is to share the wonderful, youthful fresh faces that stopped by this fall for some senior shots.
